At Splashy Paddle Co. LLC, kayaking isn’t just something we rent—it’s something we truly love. After spending years paddling around the lakes and waterways in this area, we’re excited to bring an easy and affordable kayak rental option to Hovey Lake so more people can experience it too.

Our kayaking journey started a few years ago during a Spring Break adventure. We decided to hunt down some used kayaks so we could take our kids along to explore local lakes and rivers. What started as a fun family experiment quickly turned into a hobby we couldn’t get enough of.

For us, kayaking is the perfect way to slow down, relax, and reconnect with nature. It’s a chance to destress, soak up the sunshine, and enjoy the peaceful water. And the best part? No paddle is ever the same. Every trip brings something new—wildlife, changing scenery, or just a quiet moment on the water.

We also know that buying a kayak can be a big step. They’re not cheap, and storing or transporting them isn’t always easy. That’s why we created Splashy Paddle Co.—to make kayaking accessible for anyone who wants to try it without the commitment of owning one.
